Issue

Context

The cafeteria premises were excessively noisy due to the large number of people using the space, the vaulted architecture of the area, and the reflective raw materials (glass walls), causing discomfort for the employees.

Intervention

Audit, design, manufacture, and installation of custom-made sound-absorbing panels.

Challenges

Design and manufacturing of “Camembert” shaped sound-absorbing panels
Management of the layout and placement of sound-absorbing panels
Suspension of the panels under the vaulted ceiling in a circular format
Complex environment (working at height)

Vault

Installation of 22 sound-absorbing panels under the vaulted ceiling

Shape

8 “Camembert” shaped panels are installed at the center of the vault and form a circle at over 6 meters high!

The administrative offices suffered from excessive reverberation, which significantly bothered the municipality employees in their daily tasks.
