Issue

Context

Our client wanted to create a professional recording and mixing studio on the ground floor of a building.

Intervention

  • Creation of a “box within a box” recording studio including a sound control room and a recording booth.
  • Total acoustic insulation (acoustic walls, floating floors, and acoustic ceilings)
  • Acoustic treatment (low frequencies, midrange, and high frequencies)
  • Supply and installation of acoustic door blocks
  • Supply and installation of a ventilation system with silent boxes
  • Installation of lighting fixtures.

Challenges

  • Complete isolation of each room
  • Acoustic treatment of low frequencies using slat panels, midrange and high frequencies using acoustic panels.
  • Creation of a “box within a box” for each room.
“After acquiring our new premises in Uccle, it was essential for me to emphasize the insulation and quality of the acoustic treatments for our studios. Made In Acoustic was able to stay within my budget, and communication was constant during the project. 10 years later, Uptown Studios is a success, and Made In Acoustic played a significant role in it.”

Materials

More than 400 square meters of absorbing materials were installed

Panels

Total control of the acoustics of the studios was achieved through the installation of acoustic panels, slat panels, and Schroeder diffusers

Artists

Around a hundred artists were able to benefit from the new studios!
